They take turns who leads ----- the leader gets tired and turns over the lead to another and so on

I've had some friends that had birds as pets and they are anything but stupid. I don't know how they determine the leader but watching the pelicans fly over the ocean, just skimming the waves, always makes me smile.

I'm not sure, but I hear that birds have little tiny peckers. (Yes, redundant) Animals do things by pure instinct. Perhaps we should employ their methods. Speaking of tiny peckers . . . Have you seen my . . . “Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.”

Oh, thanks! I feel so much better now. I apologize for taking your humor the wrong way. I'm so strange . . . I don't mind, and in fact enjoy being teased and insulted about my tiny . . . You know, lol. But I am super sensitive about other tiny organ, under my hat, lmao! Thank you Ina for taking the time to explain. BTW . . . What about Monarch butterflies? They migrate every year to Mexico to avoid the winter. How does an insect know how to do that. Talk about tiny brains . . .LOL! “Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.”

Oops! Wrong smiley . . .Should be . . . I guess no one is perfect, right? “Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.”

If you're cycling in a peloton, the one at the front puts in more effort than anyone else. I don't know without checking google whether similar logic applies to formation flying birds but, if it does, then the leader is not necessarily the brightest! If only I could find a political analogy... so difficult... Contact me privately via the PM at the head of my blog page
