You've been very critical of this site in the past, with several blogs (rants) about its performance. You're right .... This place has been a huge source of aggravation for Me and many others. I'm certainly not the only person who has expressed exasperation with it. So have you seen any improvement in anything? Well, I think there are two areas to explore: 1) ALT's policies on site usage and 2) Site features actually working. Policies on site usage? Yeah. An example would be if a standard member can read a message sent to them by a Gold member, or standard members having to use 'points' for various things. OK .... I see what you're getting at. I think the site features actually working is self explanatory. What about you - Have you seen any improvements in functionality? Actually I have, although the jury is still out in both areas. The cam feature seems to work. I don't view cams too often, so I can't speak to its overall dependability. Also the IM is working better. The IM is working now?? Let's just say it's better than it has been. Useless to IM a standard member due to the points BS. If one is able to strike up a conversation with a Gold member, the IM doesn't seem to drop you or delay sending text back and forth as much as it used to. So you think the ALT monkeys are actually making an effort to make the site more dependable and user friendly? It may be one of those 'one step forward, two steps back' sort of things.. Improvement here cancelled out by a fucked up policy change there. Well, we can still blog. This seems to work. Yeah, but it has its own problems too as I'm sure others are going to attest to. OK peanut gallery ..... Your views on any signs of improvement? And is it just Me, or have a lot of people quit blogging? Make Women Female Again

Are you kidding?? At item 4 of the Alt.com Terms Of Use: We reserve the right to create accounts for quality control and administrative purposes. So they create bogus profiles and then they charge you points to send an IM to the bogus profiles . . And your best observation is "IM is working now" Exactly how does Alt improve on a system of fraud . . give you other things to complain about so you look the other way.

your best observation is "IM is working now" I'm pretty sure that statement came with a couple of question marks behind it. Why actually quote someone when misquoting them is so simple? Before I get misquoted, let Me restate what I actually said .... "The IM is working better". Let's see, I think I also mentioned the jury is still out on the cams and IM. Wasn't there also something about one step forward and two steps back? Hmmm .... Ya know, I think there was. So I'm assuming uncommon doesn't feel ALT is improving? I think that's a pretty safe bet. I can only speak for the greater Cleveland and Tampa areas, but the site is pretty worthless. Nothing but fakes and scammers, and the IM is a joke. In fact, it appears Florida in general is pretty bad and that is a huge change from say, 5-10 years ago. Many of the profiles are absolutely ridiculous and many are obviously no longer active and just being recycled by Alt. Now, as a woman, there is still some utility, because there are so few of us we stand out. But the number of women is way down and to be honest, the quality of the men has dropped precipitously as well. My husband no longer bothers and I am fighting it impossible to find a girlfriend on here. it was never easy, even 10 years ago, but now it is really impossible. I am trying Whiplr, but it has problems as well. Oh well.

i cant tell if the person I IM is actually online....about one out of 3 get delivered and then i am out 10 points

Alt is a business building a bottom line is their concern, not yours or my satisfaction. They accomplish that by posting an adequate amount of fake profiles to keep everyone actively interested. IM is simply part of the illusion. The U.S. Attorney would consider it fraud . . but Alt is not a U.S. based company. However, I'm sure the complaints are piling up at; www.ic3.gov

As for all the like or dislike ? I have always managed to meet quality people in and out of the site . There will always be scammers ,but there obvious ,so its amusing There will always be non satisfaction becuase its how one looks at life For Ex: There are many folks who could win a million and only complain about the taxes For Ex; And another it would be a Godsend and be pleased MM/~ PS / life is how you see it .. Alt improving?.. isnt that like putting lipstick on a pig? Ive been on alt for 20 yrs and nothing has changed..literally nothing...they are using the same header.

So I have read everyone's complaints above.. I never go on I.M. so I cannot attest to that at all. As far as hangouts goes. The problem with that is you need to register with your phone # why not just give your phone # in the first place?? And yes Hangouts is prone to hacking and scammers also. I have a couple of friends that I speak with here that are standard members but we use the email messaging I don't know how they do it?? I do not think they use points to speak with me, but they are in my friends list. I will ask them how they do it. I really only use Alt to keep up with some friends and read the blogs. And for the love of god quit mentioning "Vlads" name.. Im afraid we will summons him up again... Lololol. I think if you are really looking to meet up and find someone. basically where there is a will there is a way. I think it depends how much your will to invest, not only in time but money. Ask yourself what is it worth to "me". We all know what "Alt" is about and its not going to change so we need to take it for what it is.
