The Pit

You're standing the entrance. It's a small unassuming opening carved directly into the rock. The light at your back only penetrates a few feet, then the corridor plunges into darkness. You can feel the cold damp air, carrying with it the smell of mold, sweat, blood and a mixture of scents your mind can not identify and your subconscious warns, you don't really want to. From the corridor you can hear muffled sounds of screams, cries and begging for mercy. If you enter, will you find delight or despair?
