Hedonists and Asceticists

Hedonists and asceticists to me are one in the same, they both derive pleasure by living in excess or without, but the divide only exists in how society/mundane defines pleasure. I am an anomaly because I regularly deny myself pleasures and overengage in others. I don't like the term domme, because that is not the driving force behind my lifestyle, hedonism is. I'm a flaneur, libertine, conoisseur of the seven deadly sins, notably what the romans boiled down to hubris, and despite all this because of discriminating diet choices I have been called an asceticist because I deny myself tea, soda, coffee, and meat, because I love myself. This is for people of both lifestyles, who seek to make sense of it all. A submissive chinese doctor told me, that he became submissive because he felt closer to self actualization, enlightenment, nirvana when he gave up everything, all control all earthly ties to life. So we all have our reasons.
