The view of Paraphilias as disorders is not universal.
Some groups seeking greater understanding and acceptance of sexual diversity have lobbied for changes to the legal and medical status of unusual sexual interests and practices.

A Paraphilia is not diagnosable as a psychiatric disorder unless it causes distress to the individual or harm to others.

Some Paraphilias may interfere with the capacity for sexual activity with consenting adult partners.
Paraphilias are almost never diagnosed in females ~ but, some case studies of females with Paraphilias have been published.

Criteria for these paraphilias:

* Exhibitionism: the recurrent urge or behavior to expose one's genitals to an unsuspecting person, or to perform sexual acts that can be watched by others.

* Fetishism: the use of inanimate objects to gain sexual excitement. Partialism refers to fetishes specifically involving non-sexual parts of the body.

* Frotteurism: recurrent urges of behavior of touching or rubbing against a non-consenting person.

* Sexual Masochism: the recurrent urge or behavior of wanting to be humiliated, beaten, bound, or otherwise made to suffer for sexual pleasure.

* Sexual Sadism: the recurrent urge or behavior involving acts in which the pain or humiliation of a person is sexually exciting.

* Transvestic fetishism: arousal from wearing "clothing associated with members of the opposite sex."

* Voyeurism: the recurrent urge or behavior to observe an unsuspecting person who is naked, disrobing, or engaging in sexual activities, or who is engaging in activities usually considered to be of a private nature.

Paraphilia also describes telephone scatalogia (obscene phone calls), necrophilia (corpses), partialism (exclusive focus on one part of the body), zoophilia (animals), coprophilia (feces), klismaphilia (enemas), urophilia (urine), emetophilia (vomit).

* Alloerotic ~ Sexual attraction to others (as opposed to Autoerotic)

* Androphilia ~ Sexual interest in men

* Analloerotic ~ Lacking in sexual interests towards others (but not lacking in sexual drive)

* Ephebophilia ~ Sexual preference for individuals in mid-to-late adolescence, typically ages 15–19

* Gynephilia ~ Sexual interest in women

* Teleiophilia ~ Sexual interest in adults (as opposed to Pedophilia, etc.)

Homosexuality and bisexuality were listed as sexual deviations in early versions of the, "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" and were removed from the third version.

10. Agalmatophilia ~ Agalmatophilia is a Paraphilia concerned with the sexual attraction to a statue, doll, mannequin or other similar figurative object.
The attraction may include the desire for actual sexual contact with the object, a fantasy of having sexual (or non-sexual) encounters with the animate or inanimate instances of the preferred object, the act of watching encounters between the object themselves, or sexual pleasure gained from thoughts of being transformed or transforming another into the preferred object.
Agalmatophilia may also encompass Pygmalionism which describes a state of love for an object of one’s own creation. Okay, this might be getting common .... but, still it's weird and shitty.
One of the forms of Agalmatophilia is Robot Fetishism (also called ASFR or Technosexuality) which is a Fetishistic attraction to humanoid robots; also to people acting like robots or people dressed in robot costumes.
A less common fantasy involves transformation into a robot.

09. Formicophilia ~ Formicophila, a form of Zoophilia, is the sexual interest in being crawled upon or nibbled by small insects, such as ants.
It is more common in developing countries, perhaps because homes are infested with insects. This Paraphilia often involves the application of insects to the genitals, but other areas of the body may also be the focus.
The desired effect may be a tickling or stinging sensation, or the infliction of psychological distress on another person.

8. Dacryphilia ~ Dacryphilia (also known as Dacrylagnia) is a form of Paraphilia in which one is aroused by tears or sobbing.
Dacryphilia is primarily associated with males.
The term covers all forms of pleasure from the tears of others. The arousal is achieved when viewing a person in emotional distress. It carries the theme where a person induces another (the bottom) to cry, or otherwise show a strong emotion.
This differs from the usual practice of crying during intercourse since it involves the person’s desire for the other to be in some real suffering or broken heart rather than fake show of crying.

07. Dendrophilia ~ Alright, you would be surprised to know what Dendrophilia is because it is that stupid! Once, it literally meant “love for trees” but since some people have to adjust sex in each kind of love, so here we introduce you to Dendrophilia.
It is a Paraphilia in which people are sexually attracted to or sexually aroused by trees.
This may involve sexual contact or veneration as phallic symbols or both.
Yes, total shit! PHEW .... extremely rare.

06. Nasophilia ~ Nasophilia, or Nose Fetishism, is the sexual Fetish or Paraphilia for the nose.
Yea, that’s right, for the nose! And, this stinks!
Nasophiliacs have the urge to penetrate someone’s nose, usually an attractive one. This may include the sexual attraction to a specific form of physical variation of appearance (such as shape and size), or a specific area (for example; the bridge or nostrils).
The Fetish may manifest itself in a desire for actual physical contact and interaction, or specific fantasies such as the desire to penetrate the nostrils.
Other fantasies may include the desire to observe or experience a transformation of a nose with reference to an element of a fictional work such as Pinocchio, or ideas concerning the transformation of the nose into that of another creatures’ like a pig’s snout as a means of sexually humiliating a partner or acquaintance.

05. Necrozoophilia ~ Necrozoophilia is the sexual attraction to the corpses of animals.
Wow, take two of the most bizarre Fetishes, Necrophilia (sexual attraction to corpses) and Zoophilia (fixation to practice sex with animals) and you put them together.

04. Mechanophilia ~ Mechaphilia or Mechanophilia, a Paraphilia describing a sexual attraction to machines such as bicycles, motor vehicles, helicopters, and airplanes.
It is treated as a crime in some nations with perpetrators being placed on a sex offenders’ register after prosecution.
Motorcycles are often portrayed as sexualized Fetish objects to those that desire them.
Pleasures derived from the physio-pleasures involved, e.g. tactile sensations of using the controls, the colors, the smells etc.

03. Asphyxiophilia ~ Erotic Asphyxiation is the intentional restriction of oxygen to the brain for sexual arousal.
It is also called Asphyxiophilia, Autoerotic Asphyxia, Hypoxyphilia, or Breath Control Play.
Colloquially, a person engaging in the activity is sometimes called a "Gasper".
The erotic interest in asphyxiation is also classified as a Paraphilia.
The carotid arteries (on either side of the neck) carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. When these are compressed, as in strangulation or hanging, the sudden loss of oxygen to the brain and the accumulation of carbon dioxide can increase feelings of giddiness, lightheadness, and pleasure, all of which will heighten masturbatory sensations.
Historically, the practice of Autoerotic Asphyxiation has been documented since the early 17th century. It was first used as a treatment for Erectile Dysfunction. The idea for this most likely came from subjects who were executed by hanging. Outside of Japan, it is not usually identified separately from Urolagnia (Urine Fetish) .... though, however, they are different things.
