I've been knocking around the big tent that is the Scene since 1995--online initially, and involved in various offline bdsm organizations since 1997. I'm more of a bedroomer than a lifestyler, and historically much more of a theoretician than a practitioner. I have very little RL play experience, and have not played either online or off in years. I'd like to play both on top and on the bottom, because I want to experience the particular gratifications associated with each. But in the hypothetical case that I got involved in a d & s relationship, I believe it could only be as a dominant--I'm too attached to my personal autonomy to be a submissive. That said, I'm currently hanging loose where all things relationship are concerned.

My Ideal Person:
For now, I'm here more for group sociability than anything else. If a relationship were to happen, possible partners with many different attributes could be of interest to me; it would all boil down to our reactions to each other as whole persons. But I do tend to be partial to those who are well-educated and cerebral, who share many of my life interests, and for whom sex and bdsm are just a couple of many things we enjoy together in the context of a broadly-based relationship.
