Dominance and Submission is my focus and expertise rather than the physical side of S&M or B&D. I have been playing in real life since I was in high school, and I have no shortage of people to play with.
My membership on Alt is because I like to reach out to people I might not otherwise have a chance to meet or hear about. My intention is something that will eventually lead to face to face conversation and that might or might NOT lead to BDSM play.
To achieve my goals, you might find me in chat rooms occasionally - for locations I am planning to travel to, for interest groups I am a member of, and sometimes the Japanese Language or Gender Exchange chat room.
I am an international traveller and moderate the alt.com interest group [group 26365] to promote communication across the oceans, seas and borders of our world. You do not have to live in Japan to be a member of this group, but you should have an interest in speaking a foreign language or teaching your language to foreign friends.
My perspective on BDSM, etc:
Possibly milder than your image of standard BDSM play, I like to achieve an enhanced state of consciousness through dominance and submission. Sometimes my play looks like a few minutes here and there in an otherwise vanilla-looking relationship with my submissives. My style is very subtle.
I prefer to play the dominant role almost all of the time, but demand of myself that I have the flexibility of being able to switch to the submissive side when conditions are right. Mainly this would be when there is a beautiful dominant Lady with whom I have been able to establish that kind of trust and rapport.
Whether I am "Top" or "bottom" .... My BDSM play orientation is toward service and surrender; the psychological and emotional aspects of power exchange , not really whips and pains and never electrical play.
Just in case you do not understand: I am never submissive to men. I am NOT interested in dominant men whatsoever, unless they are primarily interested in dominating my beloved crossdressing submissive boyfriend while I watch. (you can see our couple's profile as femdomcpl57 here on alt.)
This also means that I do not have any interest in being submissive to women who are submissive to dominant men.
I expect men to be submissive or at least very polite and respectful to women. I expect ALL men to be polite to ALL women all the time. Especially, men who think they are dominant should demonstrate their perceived superiorty by being polite. Equality with a dominant man is something I would only give the illusion of - for politeness, myself.
In my way of thinking, cross dressers and submissive(to women) men are superior to dominant(to women) men because the submissive ones are in alignment with reality.

Now I do not travel even half of that much! Wow, that was a lot and I got so tired!
